Entry One

Wake up Sammy, just wake up. I know you can do it. You’re stronger than this, man. You can’t let ‘em kill you like this. I won’t let you. Just open your eyes, and we’ll work the rest out. He’s gotta open his eyes. He’s gotta be okay. Come on Sammy, please. Please.

GOD’S HANDS? Was that Doctor fuckin’ serious? God’s hands? That is how we got into this mess in the first place, by playing God’s game. Now Sam is dead, or will be soon. Like I’m gonna trust my brother’s fate to God?? No. Not gonna happen. There’s gotta be a way outta this one. Gotta be.

I feel sick. What did I just do? I saved Sam, I think, but I had to trick him into it. Yeah...  I know he wouldn’t have wanted this, but he didn’t wanna die either. He told me that. He saw the damn light. He sees a life beyond this crap pile of an existence. So yeah, I’ve given him a shot at maybe having that one day. It was this or... It was this. No other choice. He ain’t gonna like it, I know it. But, maybe, just maybe, he’ll be thankful to be alive. I’m trusting this Ezekiel dude. And Cas vouches for him. Anyway, what's done is done. Sam’s gonna be okay now. That’s the important thing. Everything else we can deal with later. Sam’s alive. He’s getting fixed. It’s gonna be okay.

Entry Two

Great. The Bitch is back. Abaddon. Awesome. Something else to deal with. That was a close call. All around. I hope Sam swallowed my line of bull about killing all the demons. Is this Zeke dude gonna keep popping out like that? Because if he does, we’re gonna have to have a conversation. He’s supposed to be inside Sam fixing him, not suddenly appearing whenever he damn well pleases. That wasn’t our deal. Though, guess he saved Sam’s life. Again. I have a feeling I’m gonna be paying for this down the line. How’d everything get this screwed up? An angel inside my practically dead brother, the King of freakin’ Hell locked up in the bunker. Kevin’s flipping out. Poor kid don’t know the half of it. Jesus Christ if I can hold this one together it’s gonna be a fuckin’ miracle. And Sammy’s feeling great. He’s damn well happy. That’s good. I guess. Except he has no clue what’s really going on.

Entry Three

I’m gonna lose it. Cas died. Zeke brought him back to life, thank God. But then I gotta chuck him out of the Bunker? The guy’s eyes, the way he looked at me. I’ll never forget that look. He trusted me. He felt safe. With friends. I didn't want to do it...but I had no other choice. I don’t know how I’ll ever fix it with Cas. Maybe he'll understand when he knows why. Maybe not. And I don't know what to make of Zeke. He pops in and out so much, I’m gettin’ freakin’ whiplash. He’s worried Cas will bring the angels down on him? Why. What’s he hiding from? He's gotta be hiding something. I’m gettin’ real nervous. If he’s such a good guy, why would he be worried about being found? Damn it. I’m going crazy here. I can’t talk to no one about it. I’m bouncing off the freakin’ walls.

Entry Four

I feel like he’s stacking the chips against me, linin’ them up, waiting for his moment to call in his marker. But if he wasn’t here, Cas and Charlie would be dead. Thank God he could save Charlie. No way I could live with her blood on my hands. But I’m on my last nerve with this shit. I’m yelling Zeke's name at Sam. He’s suspicious as all hell. Askin' questions. The kid’s smart as a whip. I’m terrified he’s gonna put two and two together, chuck the angel out on his ass and wind up dead or worse. And there’s actually an OZ? Could life get any weirder? I don’t like Charlie going off with that Dorothy chick. She better look out for her.  Wicked Witch of the West… Fuck me.

Entry Five

Oh yeah. Sammy’s startin' to think something’s wrong. I keep lying at him, but he’s suspicious. One minute he's my brother and things seem normal and the next, he's not. I feel like I'm about to explode. I need to come clean. I gotta talk to Zeke and tell him we’ve gotta tell Sam what’s goin’ on. Just gonna have to risk it. I can’t stand this lying to my brother anymore. Not something this big. Somehow I’ll talk him into letting the angel stay put. I’ll figure it out. But he has to know. Though, can I risk it? Knowing him, he’d as soon die as be possessed again. Jesus. I don’t think I can risk it. It won’t be much longer. He’ll be fixed soon. The angel will go. I’ll tell him then. Once he’s well. He can hate me all he wants once he’s okay.

And whatever that mutt was gonna tell me about why dogs are really here is gonna haunt me for the rest of my days!

Entry Six

Steve the angel. Huh. Poor bastard. But this isn’t his fight anymore. Let him go live his life, be human, meet a girl, one that actually wants him and doesn’t try to kill him. Geeze Cas. Ha. I feel bad for the dude. I’ve gotta remember to check in with him now and then, make sure he’s doing okay. And do we believe Crowley? No reversing the angel fall spell? Yeah, well we’ll see. Everything that bastard says comes out crooked. I will say this though, if Sammy’s right and Crowley is addicted to the human blood… that right there is leverage.

Entry Seven

Man, it was good to see Sonny again. And Robin. She grew up nice. I’d pretty much put that whole time out of my memory. Hadn’t thought about it in years. I’d forgotten how good I had it there. Wonder what would’ve happened to me if dad never came back? Or if I never got back in the car? Not that that was ever gonna be an option. I wasn’t leavin’ Sammy out there alone. Couldn’t leave Sam. No way. But still. I can’t help but wonder how I would’ve ended up, had I not stepped back into the life….

Entry Eight

Okay, now I’m officially freaking out. I tried to tell Sam the truth and Zeke blocked me. Not only that, he pretty much threatened Sam. This whole, if he ejects me bullshit. This whole not long now. I dunno what to think anymore. But I’m starting to feel like this is all going nowhere good and fast. And why the hell would I be surprised by that? I’ve known from the beginning that it’d all end up biting me in the ass. But that didn’t matter, as long as Sammy was okay. But what if Sammy isn’t okay? What if this angel is just slinging me a line? I dunno what to believe. But my gut is screaming at me. Sammy thinks there’s something wrong with him. The kid is breaking my heart. I need to find a way to tell him what’s going on so he can stop kickin’ himself. Damn it. Everything’s going to hell as usual.

Good to see Jody though. And meet Suzy. Yeah, that part was real good.

Entry 9

I can’t. Oh God. Kevin, man I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. I shoulda told you what was happening. I shoulda got you outta here. Protected you. Why didn’t I do that? Why the fuck didn’t I do that? The kid trusted me to take care of him. And now he’s dead. Like so many other’s before him. I’m poison. I can’t do anything right. Nothing. Everything I touch turns to shit or winds up six feet under. And Sam’s gone. Jesus. I don’t know if he’s even alive in there anymore. What if the angel burnt him out? I am such a fucking idiot trusting some angel I didn’t even know. Trusting him with Sam's life. Desperate fucking idiot. Who the hell has got my brother? Sammy. God. Okay, okay, I’ve gotta get my shit together. I’ve gotta go find that angel fuck and get my brother back, or put a stop to him, whatever I need to do. I’m not letting Sam live out his days as a piece of meat being dragged around by some angel douche. Oh God, I’m gonna be sick.

Okay Winchester, get it together. You did this, you fix it. However you need to. Fix what you can. I’ll find the angel. I’ll find Sam. I’ll find you Sammy, I promise. But first, I gotta take care of Kevin. Give him the burial he deserves. Jesus Christ. I’m so sorry, kid. I’m so sorry…

Supernatural Spoiler-palooza! Season 9 Finale spoiler round up.

SPOILER-PALOOZA

Once upon a time I used to flee from spoilers. I used to hide out in the panic room and stay entirely spoiler free for the last 3 episodes of the season!

That was then. This is NOW!

Now I devour spoilers like a Leviathan devours people who irritate him! And the spoilers for the season 9 finale, "Do You Believe In Miracles" have me feeling tingly all over. Actually, maybe it's lack of oxygen from hyperventilating! Whatever, I am EXCITED (or passing out.)

So because I'm excited to infinity and beyond, I thought I'd bring together into one place, a bunch of the best spoilery bits we've been given over the last week.

The last five minutes of the finale are the most important five minutes of Supernatural history," Jared Padalecki tells TVGuide.com. 

"Something happens that has never happened before in the show. We've gone left, right, up, down, done all sorts of things in the show, but we do something in the finale that we've never seen."

"I haven't seen Season 10, but I'm imagining it has to set up all of season 10," the actor adds. "It's very exciting."

With the Mark of Cain continuing to take its toll on Dean (Jensen Ackles), the eldest Winchester has been struggling against his darker instincts. But it seems Dean can't resist any longer. "We're going to see him go all the way," Padalecki says. 

"There's a parallel with Dean in Season 9 kind of going through what Sam went through in Season 4, where he feels empowered, he feels strong, he feels like he's doing the right thing. And obviously it can take over."

Of course, in Season 4 it was Dean who was able to get through to Sam (though not in time to stop him from breaking the final seal). Will Sam try to repay the favor and save his brother from himself?

"Yes he will," Padalecki says. "Sam did a lot of things this season that upset Jared — like, I wanted to be there. As a little brother and a father of two boys, I wanted to see Sam fight for his brother a little bit more. That didn't happen earlier for reasons understood, but we certainly see Sam in the finale be the brother that I would hope for him to be."

I'm not crying! It's just something in my eye! Like tears....

With Dean full of First Blade-fueled rage after last week’s Supernatural, Sam and Castiel will be forced to do the unthinkable to save their brother and friend in this Tuesday’s season finale.

“Sam and Cas are going to have to team up because Dean has powers that are heretofore unknown, so they’re surprising both Sam and Cas,” previews star Jared Padalecki. “We have to go to a pretty big extreme to take care of what’s going on with Dean.”

Meanwhile, as Cas faces the loss of his angelic powers, he “may go to great lengths” to save his own skin, says co-star Misha Collins; at least it seems like he’ll have some time before his juice runs out completely. “I’m interested to see what the writers do with Cas’ fading grace in Season 10.”

Although the Winchesters have been at odds for much of the year, Padalecki assures TVLine that the season ender is full of “a lot of what makes Sam and Dean Sam and Dean and a lot of that brotherly love that the show is based on. You see a lot of it in the finale, in a weird way. So hopefully, next season, we bounce off of that” to show a stronger bond between the two, he says.

While finishing some post-production sound work for the episode, Padalecki found himself overwhelmed by a gamut of emotions. “Parts of it made me laugh, parts of it brought me to tears and parts of it really gave me that feeling where I was excited to see what happens next,” he says.

But before fans can see what comes next this fall, they should prepare for a long, torturous summer: Padalecki teases that Tuesday’s hour closes with a “huge” cliffhanger that changes the landscape “big time.”

“More than any other season before, this season finale has implications for Season 10,” he adds. Says Collins, who sums up the ending as “chilling”: “It may be the best last 10 seconds of a season that we’ve had in five years.”

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles make their entrances at The CW Network’s 2014 Upfront Presentation held at The London Hotel on Thursday morning (May 15) in New York City.

The guys were joined on the carpet by their co-star Misha Collins, who was just upped to series regular status for next season!

“Something happens in the finale that is a first we’ll see,” Jared told JJ on the carpet. “I’d say don’t miss the last 30 seconds of the finale.”

Misha told us, “I can say that the fans are going to freak out. I think it’s very chilling and disturbing. When I read the script for the finale, I was definitely shocked. I thought, ‘Can they do this?’ The last five seconds!”

“I’m going to one up [Jared and Misha] and say its the last second,” Jensen said. “The moment the screen goes to black. The last second. There are multiple characters involved. There’s a predicament now.”

I'm already freaking out!

Supernatural‘s Winchester brothers have been through it all. Well, they’ve at least been through a lot. In the show’s previous eight season finales, we’ve watched Dean get sent to hell, Sam get sent to hell, Dean get sent to purgatory, Sam die, and believe it or not, this list keeps going. But this season, the finale is going to focus less on where the brothers are sent and more on what’s happening internally, specifically with dear old Dean.

In the penultimate episode, we got a glimpse at what the Mark of Cain was doing to Dean when he attacked Gadreel with the First Blade and was all but foaming at the mouth for more. So can things get worse for Dean? Jensen Ackles hopes not. “It’s been a tough season for me,” Ackles told us at the CW Upfronts. “I don’t usually have to play Dean this dark for this long. Usually it’s an episode, and then he comes back and is happy-go-lucky and a Dean we all love to hate or love to love, whatever side of the fence you’re on.” Obviously we’re on the love-to-love side of things.

“I’m hoping that season 10 might lighten him up a bit,” Ackles added. “[Season] 9 took a bit of a toll, but at the same time, that’s something I don’t expect. Because the show is every evolving and it constantly changes, the characters have to do the same, so even though it was a rough tough season, I still think it was a good season. We’ll see.”

However, we first have to make it through the season 9 finale, which, when asked to rank the finale on a scale of one to Hell, Ackles said: “It’s not so much the place that he’s in as opposed to the issue that’s surrounding him, and that I think is the shocking part.”

Speaking of shocking, Ackles guaranteed that the finale is one of those don’t-miss-the-final-60-seconds deals. Also, expect one of those Winchester brother-bonding moments that will “probably” make you cry, “considering [Jared's] tears were all over my shoulder,” Ackles said.

It's my favorite finale we've ever done."

Woah, that's big praise considering Supernatural has had its fair share of epic finales. Eight previous ones, to be exact, so we're pretty sure Jared Padalecki wasn't exaggerating when he gushed about the CW hit's finale, "Do You Believe in Miracles?," airing tonight.

"True to Supernatural form, we go to the extreme," he told us on the red carpet at the CW's Upfront presentation in NYC. "I mean we're 195 episodes in, we have to do something kind of big time. So we do. There will be a big audience reaction."

And Jensen Ackles is backing up his on-screen bro, telling us that even he was surprised by what goes down in the finale. "I know what my reaction was when I got to the end of the page and my mouth was open," he said. "I will say that this cliffhanger surprised me more than most."

So just how dark will Dean (Ackles) go, thanks to the Mark of Cain, which has turned him into a bit of a killing addict? "I will say Dean...he will get darker than we have seen him," Jensen ominously teased.

However, he did have a bit of good news to share with fans: a possible make-up between Sam and Dean, after a rocky season. (And that's putting it gently.) "I will tease the fact that yes, there is a bit of a resolution there and a bit of a regrouping so to speak."

But before you start celebrating, Jensen was quick to add, "But it doesn't last long." 

Curses!

Of course, fans can breathe a sigh of relief going into tonight's finale knowing that Misha Collins is set to return as a series regular for Season 10, meaning more Castiel, which is always a good thing, right? Well, that depends on who you ask...

"We've been trying to get it into our contract that he's not allowed on set, but Warner Bros. isn't going for it," Jensen joked. "So it just means that our crew is going to increase in hazard pay with the pranks that Jared and I will be pulling on him. Everybody's going to have to wear safety helmets and goggles."

So will they be topping their infamous pie prank, which they pulled when Misha made his directorial debut earlier this season? "That was child's play. We're going to reserve a room for him at the ER," Jensen warned. "Jared and I have found out early on that we work much better as allies."

Sounds like they're brothers both on and off-screen, and Jared told us he's actually learned a lot from Sam and Dean's relationship on the show, which he hopes to pass on to his two young sons, Thomas, 2, and Shepherd, 5 months.

"What I've learned is that in my opinion, and the littlest one is five months, so he's too young to really grasp it, but you got a teammate," he told us. "Be happy, you're teammates...you have a best friend for life!"

How can these guys make my heart all mushy and poundy and frightened and poundy all at once?

Oh nuts. This is not going to go anywhere good. I can feel it in my waters. Unless they're just swinging by Brownsville for a beer and pub lunch! Yay! :D

Is Crowley back to living in a mobile home? Because, cool!

Sam in full stride is a sight to behold. Clothes and hair all wind swept. It's windy up high where he is!

My baby. Oh... MY! I won't lie, Blade!Dean is smokin' hot. But he makes me painfully sad too. I'm so sad for him. So very sad. I want that mark off his damn arm.

But not like, you know Krycek Tunguska style or anything!

Are they on a boat? Did Metatron join the merchant navy or something?

I gotta admit it. I'm totes freaked out. I have no idea what's going to happen in this finale and the ideas I do have make my stomach ache. I'm more nervous and excited about this finale than I have been since, well probably "Swan Song", because it feels THAT big, it feels like whatever will happen will be that catastrophic. Catastrophic to the characters and catastrophic to my feels! Which makes me terrified, yet so thrilled. And isn't that soooo Supernatural?

That this show, after 9 seasons, can remain this exciting and surprising is astonishing in itself. It just keeps on bringing it. And I'm sure, on Wednesday night (I am in Australia remember), I will be shaking my fists at the TV through a veil of tears, while I rock back and forth muttering "5 months. 5 months"!

Damn I love this show!

Spoilers Sweeties! What's next for Sam and Dean?

So... they broke up. Again. This time, it was Dean who walked away, deciding he was too poisonous to be around, even for Sam. *sigh*

Well, what's next? Will they find their way back to each other (yes, d'uh). Jared talked to Vlada Gleman at TV|Line.

Jared predicts that, "it’s going to take something big” to bridge the gulf between them.

“They’re handling it as you expect them to,” Padalecki adds of the conflict. “Sam kind of goes introverted and Dean goes forward. Sam is more the kind of guy that thinks something out and says, ‘Well, you know, this is where you messed up [and] this is why I’m upset.’… It’s nice dichotomy to catch on camera and, hopefully, Jensen [Ackles] and I get a chance to do a good job with it.”

Meanwhile, Sam will be dealing with the residual effects from Gadreel’s stint in his body. “It’s more emotional than literal and physical, but he certainly is still feeling the bruises,” admits Padalecki.

Okay. We need something big pronto. It sounds like the brothers are going to be working together eventually, well episode 9.12 for sure, but probably not dealing. Again. 

I want to shake them! They need to talk. They are the worst communicators in the history of communicating, meaning the history of the world! I hope Sam says all the somethings he thinks out in his out loud voice and Dean listens. Dean... listen. 

Both are going to be hurting emotionally. You know who they need to get them through this time... THEIR BROTHER. GAH. Boys. Dumbasses. (I loves them).

Over at Screenfad, Clarissa has more from The Carver about what to expect from this week's episode.

Dean and Crowley are on a mission to find the "first sword" so that Crowley can take on Abaddon. The "first sword" is owned by the first son, Cain, played by Psych star, Timothy Omundson. 

But Crowley and Dean working together?  Dogs and cats living together – mass hysteria...

Here's what Carver had to say.

”Dean and Crowley have an especially juicy relationship in terms of being two foes who are constantly butting heads with each other and getting one-up on each other. To see them, for lack of a better term, being in a buddy cop episode, we really play into all the fun there of these two opposites being forced to work together, which also turns into something quite interesting and unique when it comes to their relationship.”

Awesome! I'm loving this whole idea. LOVING IT!

What about Sam, what will he be up to? Well, he'll be back at the bunker (yay!) recuperating and Castiel will be by his side.

"...what we’re going to see are two guys who are, if not rediscovering, are aware of the parallels in their journeys and I think that’s part of their experience together in [this] episode. I think you’ll see both dealing with each other in a way that directly corresponds to the journeys they’ve taken so far this season, as you were saying. It’s impossible for them not to do what they’re setting out to do in that episode without being affected by what’s happened so far with this season. They’re dealing with a lot of issues together.”

I like the idea of Sam and Cas finally having some time together to talk. I've always thought they'd have an excellent understanding of each other, but they've never had much of a chance to hang out and discover that.

The thing is, what is often so interesting for the brothers is to see themselves and their relationship reflected back at them. It's the outsiders who have a clearer picture of the brothers because the brothers are so close, they can't see the good of who they are and what they have for the trees (or the hurt and lies). 

We've had Jody this season say to Sam that what he has with Dean is something special, the kind of something people search for but that Sam and Dean already have. With Crowley's lingering humanity and obvious, begrudging affection for Moose and Squirrel and with Castiel's understanding of the brothers and deep connection to them, hopefully the boys will be in the company of two people who can shake them up, open their eyes and make them think. I'm sure Cas will be taking this role with Sam and I hope, Dean's time with Crowley will be equally as illuminating.

As usual, I choose to go forward with optimism. Optimism that these brothers of ours get to where they need to be emotionally to finally understand what they mean to each other. I mean, they know that of course...they just forget sometimes. 

That conversation that they started in "Sacrifice", that they couldn't continue because of what happened to Sam, they need to continue that conversation. That was simply the start of the healing, now it's time to understand each other and what they have and mend their broken relationship once and for all. It took 4 seasons for them to say those words in "Sacrifice", I don't expect them to be all lollipops and rainbows overnight, or ever probably, but happy together...that's all I want for them because I think it's all they want.

Suspecting witches, the two go undercover at a fancy day spa that all of the victims had attended for weight loss. While Sam is hired as a fitness instructor, Dean takes kitchen duty. After Dean swipes some tainted food and passes out, the guys realise someone is drugging the guests and literally sucking all of the fat out of them until they die. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Eric Charmelo & Nicole Snyder.

Yay Phil! And Eric and Nicole wrote Dog Dean Afternoon this season, which was a peach!

You know...I once wrote a fanfic about the boys going to a health spa to solve a haunting. The health spa turned out to be a nudist colony! That should really happen.

This synopsis sounds awesome if for no other reason than I've just watched "Road Trip" and I'm feeling sad. This synopsis makes me sigh a great big relieved sigh. Let's get to here quickly please.

Supernatural season 9 (non) spoilers - courtesy of Jeremy "Obi-Wan" Carver!

Ahhh Carver, how you do that voo doo that you do so well. It looks like your telling us stuff about the upcoming story lines of the Show. You're using your words. But somehow, you manage to say nothing at all! You are truly the Obi-Wan of showrunners *waves hand* these aren't the spoilers you're looking for....move along.

Welcome to the wrap-up of today's (non) spoilers courtesy of our show's spoiler-phobic fearless leader! And some of my thinky thoughts about bits and pieces to go along with them.

So what did we find out today? Not bloody much!

Via Clarissa at Screenfad

"I think Dean’s going to do whatever it takes to track down Gadreel and eject him from Sam. I don’t think [there's] any question. He is coming off what he – I think – [believes] is one of the biggest mistakes he’s ever made. Suffice to say that Dean is going to be pretty much pedal to the medal when it comes to saving Sam.”

Ummm yessssss. Of course! Nothing new here... move along.

Clarissa asked about Sam and how he'll react to what Dean did...

“I think Sam is going to react to this perhaps a bit differently than folks might expect. This is how Sam would react to any eventual rescue, as it were, being rescued from Gadreel. [But] I think what the brothers have to wrestle with is…Dean has made a couple of big decisions at the end of last season [and] at the beginning of this season. I think the boys aren’t just struggling with the small problems of ‘you lied to me about this’ or ‘I lied to you about this’, it’s more about what are these incidents saying about where these two brothers are at this point in their lives? It’s something we touched on in season 8, at the beginning of that season with some of the decisions that Sam made. I’m speaking to a bigger issue here, it becomes something of a theme for how we carry out the rest of the season. As these brothers grow older and more mature, it’s becoming more and more evident that they view each other and their life’s work and where they fit in this world in vastly different ways. I guess what I mean by all this is I think some of the decisions made these days cut a lot deeper than just a single argument and I think these things are having a profound effect on the underpinnings of the boys’ relationship.”

This is pretty interesting, because when Gadreel was faking Dean out as Sam, he did say some stuff about Dean making decisions for "him", being Sam, that rang true for Real!Sam. One assumes the angel was tapping into Sam's consciousness.

DEAN
I tricked you into saying yes. It seemed like the only way.

SAM
(sighs) So... Again. You thought I couldn't handle something, so you took over!

DEAN
No, I did what I had to do! You would've never agreed to it, and you would've died.

SAM
Well, maybe I would've liked the choice, at least.

I think this, right here, even though the words are spoken by Gadreel, this might be where the bone of contention lies for Sam. Not the angel business, or even the Kevin business and I think Sam will totally understand why Dean did what he did. But this Dean making big life changing decisions on behalf of them both is something that Sam has struggled with for years. Sam has asked over and over to be treated as an adult. Dean has said over and over that he knows he needs to treat Sam like the grown; over-grown man he is. But for Dean, the roll of the big brother is something that he's played for so long that it's ingrained in him. It's proved impossible for him to break this big brother behaviour. It's who he is and he doesn't try to hide that. He's even told Sam outright, looking out for Sam is who he is. It's like parents. I mean, my mum still talks to me like I'm a child sometimes, because I am her child and though Sam is Dean's brother, Dean raised Sam and their sibling relationship will always be underpinned by a parental dynamic. It's history. But that doesn't help Sam. It also doesn't help Sam or Dean that Sam has been in peril a lot of the time which just throws Dean into uber big brother protection mode! Gah! It's a vicious circle!

Carver has spoken several times about the brothers having grown up and matured into different men. This isn't a bad thing. It's an interesting thing. How boring would it be if they never grew or changed? But they both need to learn how to live with each other and accept each other as these grown men and with one of them either soulless, or in hell, or in purgatory, or torn apart by the trials, or inhabited by an angel, let's face it, they haven't had a lot of solid time together when they've been able to concentrate on their relationship and who their brother has become. They've both had major life changing experiences over the last couple of years, but they haven't had a lot of time to learn to understand each other, because there's always something nasty breathing down their necks that takes precedent! 

We know they both want or see different outcomes to their lives. Sam sees a light that Dean doesn't. Sam wants them to fight together to get to the light. Dean just sees his eventual death, bloody. Maybe this is what Carver is talking about here, coming to terms with each other as adults and not just as big brother, little brother. Understanding that they must make decisions together. Understanding that they both have different hopes and dreams and that's cool. Understanding that they are a team on equal footing. And if they can actually manage this...it'll be be a Supernatural miracle! But I'm onboard for the journey for sure.

What else... 

What did TV|Line say about Castiel?

Now that he’s an angel again, is his mission different? Has he changed somehow, having that experience of being a human?

"Yes, it is different — in a way that I can’t completely go into now. But there is no question that his time being human will affect his thinking going forward. And he’s going to find himself in the angelic fray, as it were, more than ever. And he’s going to find himself at a point of decision that he never considered a few short months ago. It’s going to be a little bit of a be-careful-what-you-wish-for [situation] when it comes to Cas and what’s in store for him as a newly reminted angel."

Once again, we really didn't get any new insight into Castiel or where he's heading.

From TVGuide we hear about the new and interesting alliance forming in pursuit of rescuing Sam. 

"In the vein of the best buddy-cop comedies, it's zany. I think that's one of the alliances I'm speaking to,and it is predictably tense and funny at the same time [because] in having such unlikely cohorts, it cant help but spill over into fighting and sarcasm. But on the deeper level, it's a very interesting thing because Crowley is going through his own thing this season. So, a lot of our major characters this season are going through something of a personal crisis. And to watch these guys puff themselves up almost playing the roles they're accustomed to playing with each other, that façade drops away eventually and we get some really really interesting interactions between some characters that wouldn't normally open themselves up to each other."

Okay, I can't wait to see the "really interesting interaction". With Crowley dealing with the lingering residue of his humanity courtesy of the trials, how will that play out and will it alter his relationship with Dean? Probably not. But opening themselves up to each other? I can't wait to see that happen!

TVGuide also had another cool little piece of info.

Now that Kevin's dead, will we encounter the new prophet this season?

"That will be addressed. There's this outstanding question of when one prophet goes, another is sent in his or her place. So it is addressed."

Interesting! Though... sad too. Because, Kevin.

Really, I have to say though, we found out very little at all from The Carver today. He is notorious at giving away practically nothing. He says outright he doesn't like spoilers. In these interviews, he simply reinforced some things we'd already been told or had already figured out...

We know Dean well enough to know he's going to be destroyed by what happened with the Gadreel fiasco and will fight tooth and nail to get Sam back whilst kicking himself and feeling like shit. He's highly skilled at both those things. We also know he'll carry that guilt for sometime as he seeks retribution.

We know that now Castiel is graced up, he's going to get sucked into the angel war in a big way.

We know Crowley is still being affected by his humanity and that he's going to have to face off against Abaddon, most likely for control of Hell. I'm looking forward to their snarky interactions!

We know Dean's going to make dodgy alliances, we've already seen him doing a deal with Crowley.

We know we're going to see Garth and the Ghostfacers again. 9.12 is the Garth episode.

We know that the character of Cain will be appearing and that this will reflect on the brothers and their legacy/history. Super cool. I'm busting for this one too.

And we know Sam is going to have issues with Dean making the decision he made. 

I've always believed from day one that Sam will not be furious with Dean. I've always believed he'll understand where Dean's decision came from, but I've always thought he'll be hurt by Dean's lack of respect for what was Sam's choice for his future. Sam confessed that he feels like he's always let Dean down and that he doesn't feel Dean believes in him and Dean making these kind of calls...no matter where they come from emotionally speaking, would reinforce those feelings for Sam. Like I said, I think this most likely is where Sam's problem with the whole thing will lie. I think this is the thing the brothers will have to deal with. It goes back to what they said to each other in Sacrifice. They did choose each other, but the playing field, from Sam's perspective (I'm guessing) is still not even.

I don't have a problem with the brothers growing up, with them having different ideas about the future, with them feeling differently about the job, with them being different men. I like it. To me the brother's bond is shown through the fact that regardless of what they've done to each other, the lies and mistrust, the betrayals, they still fight to be together, they still fight for each other, they did and always will, choose each other. To me, this is their bond. That eternal battle to stand side by side no matter what and no matter how they may be feeling about their brother to their right. It's not bitch/jerk. It's the fight to preserve what they have. Each other. Family. I never see that ending and I never see it wavering. They still keep each other human, they are each others stone number one, they will never leave their brother out there alone, they will never put anything past or present in front of each other.

Hey, that's just the way I sees it.

Supernatural News: The week that was. January 12 edition.

It was a big week in Supernatural-land! Lots of news and happenings!

Here's your handy wrap up, in case you missed anything!


The week kicked off with the cast and crew of Supernatural heading back to work after their Christmas hiatus. By the end of the week they only had 72 more shooting days left in the season! How fast has this season flown by!


There was a joining of fandoms and oddballs! Misha Collins and William Shatner started following each other on twitter and had a rather interesting and intriguing conversation about DM'ing!

It went on further than this...I catalogued their tweets here!

We got a brilliant new season 9 promo, which set all our hearts a flutter! Warning spoiler-phobes, this has vision from the next 3 episodes. You can read my post and theories about this promo along with my squee here.

GARTH RETURNS - After finding out that Garth (guest star DJ Qualls) is in the hospital, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) go to check on him. Still carrying the guilt over Kevin, Dean lays into Garth about disappearing and demands to know where he's been. Garth makes an excuse and then hightails it away from the guys. Confused as to why Garth would run from them, Sam and Dean do some investigating and are stunned by what they find. John Showalter directed the episode written by Adam Glass (912).

Of course, Wednesday saw the People's Choice Awards an Supernatural won Favourite Bromance.

And the CW released a congratulations video for all their shows, including Supernatural!

The Official Supernatural Facebook page hit 13 million likes.

The CW started releasng countdown videos staring the guys, on the official CW Instagram!

Jason Manns wrapped up his Kickstarter campaign for a Christmas album featuring Jensen, Jared, Misha, Richard, Rob and Julie - just to name a few. There was a whopping amount of support for this project. Read more about it here.

And a little something that some of you may have missed, Mr Jim Beaver won an award!
