On the Box'sChris Philpott posted half of his interview with Mark Sheppard where the wily demon talks about pursuing the role of Crowley because of Kim Manner. Definitely worth a read, no spoilers. I'll link the 2nd half when it's posted.
And then I'm posting this because I happened upon it and it made me giggle, so I thought I'd give you a smile today. Jared is such a crack-up when he goofs on his sexy charm.

TVGuide has this awesome video of Jensen, Jared & Misha talking about their fan favorite wins.

News was light this week, but here's what scoopage I could find.

Buddy TV has pictures from this week’s “You Can’t Handle The Truth.”
For the first time in 57 years TV Guide is allowing fans to pick the cover image. It’s down to 6 fan favorites and Supernatural is one of them so vote as often as you can between November 1 and hopefully we’ll see Jensen, Jared and Misha on the front page.
Jensen is lending his voice to the video game Tron: Evolution. Check out WinchesterBros for more info.
Here are a handful of reviews for the Supernatural Original Television Soundtrack 1-5. The CDs do not include the classic rock tunes we often discuss, but rather the musical pieces crafted specifically for the show.
Look for Taylor Cole, who played art collector Sarah Blake on SPN (Provenance), as a series regular in the new drama, The Event. In this DFW interview she brags that she’s one of very few people who actually know what The Event is.
SPN Sister M.J. talks about casting books on the Romance Bandits blog. She cast Jared and Adrienne Palicki as the leads in her novel, Sunrise Over Texas. Check out the cover resemblance to Jared!
Chad Lindberg (Ash) is making news with his turn in the controversial, unrated remake of I Spit On Your Grave, which has a limited release next month. The 1978 original, rape and revenge movie, was banned worldwide and Roger Ebert called it a "a movie so sick, reprehensible and contemptible that I can hardly believe it's playing in respectable theaters." The remake sounds just as hard-core as stories have been floating around the internet of viewers fainting and vomitting during the showing. Much as I like Chad, this isn't my kind of film. You can check out early reviews on IMDB to see if it's something you can stomach. But I'll be watching to see if Ebert reviews this remake after giving the original ZERO stars.
The CW Connect has posted a new video interview with Misha Collins.
Four days until Supernatural returns. Watch Exile on Main Street this Friday!
I got my Season 5 DVDs on Friday! Like MJ said in the comments last week, Best Buy sucks. No, she didn't say that. She said they didn't send her order. My BB didn't have any copies at all. I'm not sure if they sold out in two days, or what, they just said none came on Thursday or Friday.
BUT! I got the set at Target, and the Target exclusive is a 100th episode featurette. It's no Impala keychain, but...
The WB has early seasons of Supernatural on DVD for only $19.95!
Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly had some spoilers that I didn't read. EW also gave our show a half-page box in their Fall TV Preview that came out last week.
If you watched the premieres of Vampire Diaries or Nikita last week, you probably saw the promo for the Supernatural premiere. If not, here's a bootleg (with review). (I didn't watch it!)
Buzz Focus posted some teaser spots. They say there are "blink-of-the-eye" spoilers so I didn't watch them, either.

Misha Collins completed his charity run for his Random Acts organization – a whopping 53 miles!!! He earned over 94 thousand dollars. Jim Beaver pledged $50/km so he came out owing a pretty penny. Misha chronicled his exhausting day at twitter.com/mishacollins. May I just say… he’s so damn cute!
Speaking of Jim, he’s been filming episode 3.4 of Lie To Me to air December 1. He plays Gus, brother to Annette O’Toole’s Veronica, a 60-year-old with early onset Alzheimers. Gus puts her into a care facility and takes over her estate. The estranged brother and sister are reunited when Cal Lightman comes to investigate. Methinks Jim could be in trouble!
I’ve been trying hard to avoid spoilers, but one mild one caught my attention and I have to say I’m psyched. In the episode entitled Live Free or Twi-hard SPN pokes fun at the Twilight-Vampire Diaries-True Blood obsession, even going so far as using some look-a-likes for this cautionary tale. Can not wait!
Wanna wallow in envy? Check out the teaser trailer for "Supernatural: The Animation" at Warner Bros.' Japanese site for the project. Click the "Trailer" box on the right. They did a great job with Sam and Dean! I wish this wasn't only being released in Japan...
Portrait Magazine (scroll down a little and look on the right, "September Cover") has a poll to see who we want featured on the September cover. Tom Welling is way ahead of Jensen Ackles, and Jared Padalecki doesn't seem to have a chance. Voting goes to August 15.
While casing some Torchwoodnews, I discovered that John Shiban, writer for such great Supernatural episodes as "Tall Tales" and "Folsom Prison Blues," will be writing some Torchwood eps in the upcoming season.

Zap2it has an in-depth article about Jason Manns and how his friendship with Jensen has affected his music and movie career. No new info for those of us who follow Jason for his own sake, but some interesting quotes nonetheless. :)

[For some infuriating reason Blogger isn't allow me to paste text so I've been trying to post this little bit of news for way too long! Now retyping....]
News was really scarce this week ~
The CW is all atwitter about sweeps weeks so they're inviting viewers to "watch and tweet" with their favorite stars. Misha will be tweeting from 9:00-10:00 PM on Friday, May 7.
Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello has posted a freakin' hilarious, exclusive clip of this week's Two Minutes to Midnight. Warning: It does answer the "will he or won't he?" question regarding Bobby's soul.
Finally, I leave you with this adorable pic of Jensen and Danneel at the premier of The Back-Up Plan. (She plays J.Lo's nemesis.) Rumor has it May is their big month!
The big news hit last week with official confirmation of season 6 and Eric Kripke (along with his co-runner Robert Singer) stepping down as the showrunner. However, we trust the show is in great hands with exec producer/writer Sera Gamble and, thankfully, both Kripke and Singer have stated they’ll still be involved.
So what does this mean for a post-apocalypse SPN? Well, according to an interview Buddy TV did with the writers, season 6 “won’t have the scope” of this season. Instead Sera says, “You just turn left and go a whole other direction. The show has never really been about God and the angels and demons, it's a show about Sam and Dean." She further added, "There has always been a deep well to jump into in the boys' relationship...We have the opportunity to go back from the epic to a more intimate story." The idea is to go back to more stand-alones and Ben Edlund for one, is happy he can be “be funny again.”
The next natural question is this…if they’re going back to the basics, where does that leave Castiel? According to E’s Kristin, Misha only has a contract through season 5, but sources close to the show are “hopeful” he’ll be asked to stay on.
And finally, according to Vegas News Jared was spotted at LAVO celebrating his bachelor party. He’s supposed to marry costar Genevieve Cortese next week in Idaho. (Darnnit couldn't find any pics of the party!)
Jared Padalecki is one of three stars rumored to be a possible candidate for the new Conan the Barbarian remake.

Colin Ford (ColinFordActor) tweeted that he’s returned home from Vancouver where he had a “blast” filming SPN, but can’t give away any spoilers.
Chad Lindberg (ChadLindberg) tweeted that he had his mom re-pierce his ear to play Dr. Badass. Now that’s painful commitment! Traci Dinwiddie (GrooveGoddess) tweeted that she finished filming Elena Undone. The IMDB blurb says, “Fate brings two diversely different women together, and sets them on a collision course that will shatter their preconceived notions about love, life and the power of one's soul.”
Danneel Harris has been in a tweet war with E!’s Ted Casablanca over her engagement to Jensen. The girl put Ted in his place though!
Jim Beaver (JumbleJim) recently tweeted that he took a meeting with the History Channel about a new series, “Me, a host? Hmm.”
Supernatural received a GLAAD nomination. “The Real Ghostbusters” was recognized as an Outstanding Individual Episode in a series without a regular LGBT character.
And, lastly, a casting call has gone out for episode 5.17 – 99 Problems. If you don’t mind a minor spoiler check it out here.
